Hotel Malghotras by Hazel Hotels

The view from the hotel really is great, and the property itself is nice, not third-class. But the owner's behavior was the problem. The staff seemed to follow the owner's instructions, so I can't really blame them. When I raised the issues, the owner said this was all I should expect for the price and guessed I’d only stayed at bigger hotels before. I’ve stayed at all kinds of hotels, and guest expectations depend much more on how a place is managed and how people are treated than on the room rate. We had to ask several times for a second mattress for the third person in the room. That was exhausting, though eventually we got it, so hats off to the owner for that. The bedsheets had to be changed multiple times before we got clean, comfortable ones. There were three of us but only one toothbrush. Only two 500 ml bottles were complimentary, and the rest cost extra. The same went for any tea sachets after the first two. I had to order the heating kettle 5 times because the first 4 arrived dirty. They should have checked it by the 3rd or 4th time at least. I ordered food and followed up several times. After one hour they said it was right around the corner, then five minutes later called to say it wasn’t available. How does it suddenly go out of stock after being “right there” for an hour? At breakfast, the room lights weren’t on, even after we told them multiple times. It wasn’t a power outage. The owner specifically asked me to be honest, so there it is. Great view for sure. Y’all can decide whether this is a 1-star review. And a note to the owner, it’s “kettle,” not “cattle.” Cattle are farm animals.
