Hotel The Nest

A quiet, pleasant place for a relaxing stay. The food was delicious, and the helpful staff gave us proper directions to the hotel. It’s a very nice property with a peaceful, comfortable feel, and the stay was excellent. Highly recommended. 😊

We arrived at 9:00 PM on 23rd may 2026, eight hours after our scheduled 1:00 PM check-in, but our booked room still wasn’t ready. They made us wait, then tried to put us in a different location, a dirty, shady-looking guest house with poor amenities. When I refused and asked for the room I’d booked, the staff became aggressive. I’d already paid ₹5,500 for two days. The management threatened not to let us leave unless we paid for the full stay, even though they hadn’t provided our room. They held us there and stopped our driver from moving the car. To get us out safely, my travel agent paid another ₹6,000. We didn’t even spend 10 minutes there, yet they demanded money for the two-day stay. This was a horrific experience. The management was dangerous and unprofessional, and I strongly advise families to stay away. It felt like a scam, and we left shaken and out of pocket.

The room was awful, with barely enough space to stand beside the bed. Staff were rude, the service was very slow, and I had to ask three times for water bottles. Taxis charge a lot to get there because it’s the last hotel on the lane, and it’s hard to reach by taxi. The location has a good side, being near dalai lama temple, but you have to climb stairs to get there. Not worth it, and the reviews seem misleading.

The terrace view was amazing, and aside from the stairs the hotel is very good. Just be ready to climb 150-200 stairs each time you want to get to the market.
