Hotel Holiday Hill

I booked here only because match crowds had left almost no rooms available. Early check-in had been promised, but our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, so we spent a long time waiting on uncomfortable chairs with no proper arrangements. The place felt badly managed, poorly maintained, and short-staffed throughout. Just 2-3 people seemed to cover reception, housekeeping, and cooking, and the reception desk was often unattended. The room was below expectations: no towels or hand soap, an uncomfortable mattress, and a flimsy, poorly maintained fan regulator. The washroom was dirty, some tiles were broken, cleanliness across the property was poor, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. The kitchen area also looked unhygienic, with basics like ice, Maggi, and lime unavailable. Getting around was another problem. The hotel is up a very steep incline, so walking to the market and back gets tiring quickly, especially after a long day. There’s no lift, which is worth considering if you have luggage or elderly people with you. With so few hotels available during the match rush, I stayed, but the whole experience was disappointing.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Hotel Holiday Hill. The food was delicious and high quality, and the staff were courteous and helpful the whole time. It was comfortable, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The room was dirty, and so was the bedding. They put us two floors below ground level even though the hotel was empty. Mr. Sachin jamwal (staff) was extremely unsupportive. The place is very cold, so you’ll need a heater and pay another Rs.1500-2000, which wasn’t mentioned in the room price. Reaching the hotel was risky too: the road from jogiwara side is broken, and after police stopped the cab from going via dolma chowk, we had to get past a big hole in the broken road. Don’t be lured by the room prices they show.

The staff were good-natured and helped us well. The accommodation was hygienic and good for a stay, and the food was quite decent too.
