This was the worst homestay I’ve experienced. The rooms didn’t seem properly cleaned, and there was no hot water in the bathroom. They heated it outside and brought it in a bucket. We left around 8 AM, so breakfast wasn’t provided at all. The staff were polite, but the owner was extremely rude. GST was listed as 12% when I booked, then the Government of India revised it to 5%, yet the owner still charged us 12%. When I questioned it, he responded rudely and made threats. I’ve raised the issue with Booking.com, but it’s still unresolved. I strongly advise against staying here. It was truly terrible.

Mahesh and family made our 2 nights memorable with their hospitality. This is a small place with 4 Bhunga, or mud houses, which means you get a personal feel and plenty of interaction with them. It’s around 100 meter in from the main road, so there’s no noise pollution, and we could hear birds in the morning. Every meal was a pleasant surprise. The Thepla, vegetables kadi, Rotla with butter, and other dishes were better than most eateries and restaurants we tried during our Gujarat trip. Mahesh and family’s paintings, artwork, and beautification were lovely too. The stay balances comfort with authenticity and gives you a glimpse of Kutch life. Thanks to Mahesh, Maan, Shiva and family for making our Kutch journey so beautiful.

Mahesh and family made us feel at home in Dhodo village, just 5 km from Rann Utsav tent city. They welcomed us warmly and took care of all the little details. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the fresh, authentic food was outstanding. A lovely way to get a genuine Kutch experience. Highly recommended!

We had a really bad stay. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly, breakfast wasn’t up to scratch, and no mineral water was provided. The service didn’t match what we were charged. Wouldn’t recommend it.
