Antique Regency

We spent a couple of days at Antique Regency, New Digha. It was memorable but mixed, so 4 stars feels right. The property has a lot going for it, though its operational gaps need serious attention. The resort is spacious, with greenery, open areas to walk and easy parking. Its recreational facilities are impressive and well maintained: two clean pools, a rain dance area, a fully equipped gym, and a children's park with a wide range of activities. Families will find plenty for kids to enjoy. Food was genuinely fresh and flavorful when it arrived. There were some real problems with the food. Prices are high and portions don't justify them. One bowl of fried rice didn't feel enough for two, but ordering two makes for an uncomfortable bill. The value just doesn't add up. Breakfast on Day 1 was varied and tasty, but on Day 2 the choices were limited and the quality noticeably lower. It shouldn't vary so much from one day to the next. We had a spacious Super Deluxe room, but the pillows and some other items hadn't been cleaned properly before check-in. Staff changed them after we complained, but guests shouldn't have to ask for basic cleanliness. Reception staff were courteous and cooperative in their manner, but when we raised complaints, they blamed overcrowding and said they couldn't manage all the guests. Full capacity is exactly when a resort should be prepared. Even our complimentary welcome drinks were forgotten. When we asked, we were told to come downstairs and collect them ourselves. That's inconvenient, not hospitality. For a property marketed and priced as a 4-star resort, the service and room upkeep don't reflect conventional 4-star standards. The resort's own website doesn't claim that rating either, so it's worth checking before booking if that matters to you. Antique Regency is a solid pick for outdoor facilities, a fun family setting and decent food quality. To truly earn the 4-star tag, management needs to improve consistent service and room preparation, and stop leaning on crowd-related excuses. With better operational discipline, it could easily be exceptional. For now, worth visiting if you arrive with calibrated expectations.

The pools were clean and well maintained, and the food tasted amazing. They also have a spa, game room and gymnasium. Rooms are clean, with basic amenities provided, and the staff are always polite and smiling. It's well maintained, with top-notch service. I recommend staying here for a lovely experience. It is one of the best properties in Digha.

There are two pools, one on the 1st floor and another on the ground floor. The ground floor pool is great for an evening splash, and you can enjoy rain dance there then too. The 1st floor pool is better at noon because the water is in the shade. The beach is a 600 MTRS walk away, and electric 3 wheelers are available by the main gate. There's ample parking and EV charging as well. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, almost identical of Radisson rooms. Breakfast had a wide spread, from muri to chicken to dahi vada. Don't forget to ask for welcome drinks!

I stayed at Hotel Antique Regency on 25 NOVEMBER and had a very good experience. The location was convenient, with popular landmarks within walking distance, and the atmosphere felt like a peaceful, luxurious escape. The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. They were friendly and efficient, and the food and beverages team were especially helpful. Munmun Mondal served us very well, as did the Food and Beverages staff, manager and GM...(Shankha Ghosh). Special thanks to the whole F&B department. The accommodations were luxurious, with top-notch amenities. This was one of my best hotel experiences, and I would definitely stay at Antique Regency again.
