We had a bus at 2:00AM, but the staff said they wouldn't open the gate before 5:00AM because they were going to sleep. They shouted at us, and we had no other option but to leave at midnight. I’m writing this from the road at 1:29AM. This is ridiculous. At check-in, the staff had been polite and told us we could check out anytime. I’ve never had an experience like this. Shame, shame, shame!

The food service was pathetic. They served us a bowl that had also been served at another table, then left it there even after we called out. Reception took no action either. I won't waste time describing the other issues. I booked after checking out the property, and that was a bad decision.

My short trip turned into a disaster. Management was extremely rude, and the staff were disastrous. They refused to help or provide service, then threatened our family. They acted as if, because we were natives, we should pay whatever disrespectful amount they demanded. Hotel Golden Touch and Hotel Silver Touch at Old Digha have the same owner and management. Don't be fooled by the low room rates. Avoid these hotels if you don't want your self-esteem and trip satisfaction hurt.

The hotel was close to the beach, and the ambience, cleanliness, and staff behavior were all good. It was a really nice place.

The location is really good and the manager was pleasant, but the rooms are only moderate and the staff service and behavior were poor.
