The garden and relaxed atmosphere work well for families and couples, and the hotel offers a solid 3-star stay at a budget-friendly price. Its location in Old Digha is a real plus, with sea views from the balconies of some rooms. A few rooms feel dated since this is an older property, and service at the restaurant and through room service can slow down on busy weekends. A good fit if location and a sea-facing view matter more than modern luxury.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are well behaved. I’ve stayed in a cottage again this visit, as I do whenever I come to Digha. It’s right on the beach, and some renovation has been done, though the toilets still need exhaust fans. Food quality and variety need attention too. They won’t serve evening tea before 5 PM, which is ridiculous and should change.

The food was great, although the menu is long and many items may not be available. Our sea-view room in the main building was huge and had a good view, and this may be the closest hotel to the Old Digha beach. But at Rs.3500, all they provided was a small soap and two towels, with no packaged water or complimentary bf. The constant requests for tips were the most annoying part. Even the boy who only showed us the room, without carrying any luggage, stood with folded hands asking for one. Guests have reported this at checkout, and now it happens at check-in too. Management seems to support this, and doesn’t care much about the trouble it causes.

We enjoyed our stay in room 272 in the VIP building. It was the best room in the hotel, and we’ll try to book it again next time. The only irritating thing was the tip culture. Besides that, everything was excellent. We’ll be back.

I’ve been coming here since childhood, but the hotel keeps getting worse for the price. The location is good, and the food is okay, but there’s little else to recommend. Rooms are dirty, from the furniture and floor mats to the TV, and there’s no maintenance. The only lift in the main building is filthy too. For these room rates, they still haven’t added a tea kettle or complimentary breakfast, which are basic at many good hotels. The worst part is staff lining up at checkout to ask for tips, including people who never served you.
