It’s very close to the beach. The bed is comfortable, and the rooms are fairly good, though they could use more pillows. The toilet is only partly clean. There’s a TV and free Wi-Fi, but some of the LED lights don’t work.

The sea view from the room was wonderful, and the location was great. We paid 4,500 for two nights. The room had an Android TV, but no balcony, and the AC was switched off from 6 to 8 pm. We stayed in the hotel’s best room on the fourth floor, even though the elevator only goes to the third, so we had to take the stairs for the last floor. The hotel itself is good, but it’s extremely dirty and poorly maintained. A little mouse in our room kept chewing paper and plastic bags all night, so we couldn’t sleep. I complained, but the manager, who wasn’t rude, did nothing. There’s no room service. The bathroom was dim and a bit dirty, and the furniture and sheets were stained. I didn’t try the restaurant because the food looked very expensive.

The staff, including reception, were cooperative, and the food at the ground-floor Oceanic restaurant was good. The hotel is well located, with good rooms, a lift and Wi-Fi. The rooms and washrooms do need proper maintenance.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, so this is only about the similarly named restaurant on its ground floor. The ambience is the one bright spot: it was clean, upscale and well maintained. Prices are unreasonably high, and many menu items aren’t always available. The fish we ordered smelled bad and may have been rotten. When we reported it, the people in charge were callous. Avoid ordering Indian food here, it was badly made and expensive. The Chinese food was the only thing they made decently, but it was also quite pricey and spicy. I’d look elsewhere.

The location had a few real advantages: the hotel is in Neheru Market, steps from the Wbtc bus stand and beside Biswa Bangla Park and the sea beach market. Shops are nearby, and the room had a good sea view. The restaurant food tasted good, and there’s an ice cream parlour and a bar at the entrance. But our room, number 306 on the third floor, was tiny and filthy, as was the bathroom. We kept bumping into furniture and didn’t want to touch anything. The linens had blood and food stains; when we asked for replacements, those were stained too. They looked years old. During our two-day stay, no one cleaned the room, changed the sheets or emptied the bins. Plates came with food leftovers on them, and the AC blankets were stored in dirty cupboards. The room smelled awful, which made staying there with my toddler very difficult. When it rained, the AC vents leaked onto the window side of the bed.
