Amã Stays & Trails Kumara Villa, Kodaikanal

Our whole family loved every bit of our memorable stay at Ama stays and Trails Kodaikanal (Kailash). The Fantastic Five team showed us the TAJNESS, and the staff under Gokul were superb hosts. The food was great throughout, with special thanks to Chefs Chandran and Shreyans. Balamurugan and Shiva also gave outstanding service during our stay. Kudos to the entire team.

The location is just off the main road, yet the place is very peaceful. The villa is well maintained and fully equipped, with excellent, authentic food. Prabhakar, his team and Gokul took care of every little thing. They seemed to know what we needed and made it available. This is an ideal place to spend a few days in Kodaikanal with family or friends, and I’d recommend it.

We spent a very satisfying week here with a group of four couples. We’ve taken at least one trip a year for 12 years, and this was our best in every respect: the place, food, service and prompt attention at all hours. All of that came at a reasonable cost, and the weather was supportive too. Our standards have jumped after this stay. Thanks to the whole team led by Gokul, and to our friend Aparna Chakrapani and her associate Amit Kulshreshth for suggesting this place.

We wanted somewhere to slow down and relax without travelling much, and Kumara Villa was just right. It’s a beautiful, well-kept homely place, with caring staff and home-style food. The garden was lovely for relaxing with family over coffee in the evening. Gokul looked after us from start to finish. Mr and Mrs Baskar manage the property so well and took care of us with good food and hospitality. Nivas gave wonderful service, and chef Praba David made excellent food. A great home-away-from-home experience.
