The temple is very close, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to families looking for clean rooms. We booked online from 12 to 12, and our bus arrived early, so we paid extra for accommodation. Even after we explained that the group included senior women, the caretaker, who called themselves managers, Jagdish Arumugham, were extremely rude and took nearly an hour to give us the key. The floors were sticky, the bathrooms very dirty, and the bedsheets, bedspreads, and pillow covers didn’t seem to be changed after each checkout. When we asked, the answer was vague, just that they had changed them. The place wasn’t well maintained.

This was a non-AC family room in the summer, and my experience didn’t match the pictures. There was no exhaust fan in the washroom, no lift, and no towels, soap, or other check-in kit. The non-AC rooms are on the top floor, where the heat felt heavy, so I wouldn’t choose it in summer. It doesn’t seem like a 2-star hotel, and the price felt heavily inflated.

Just 200 meters from the temple and easy to get to. The room was very clean, though there was no hot water. It’s affordable, and this was the only lodge that accepted check-in at any time after I tried nearly 8-10 others.

The facilities are simple, but the location is convenient and the rooms were clean. Staff were polite and helpful too. A satisfactory place for a short stay.

We came for the temple, which is about 0.75 km from the steps of Palani. The rope car is on the other side of the hill, and battery-operated cars can take you around. Rooms are spacious, and parking is available nearby, though I thought the price was a bit high for the amenities.
