Arunai Grand Kodai

The food was so good it left me craving more, and the bathrooms and rooms were spotless. My room was lovely too, with soft bedding, great lighting, and a beautiful view. Check-in was fast, and everyone I met was friendly and professional from the start. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

A couple of friends ordered non-veg food and said it was amazing, but our stay itself was deeply disappointing. We booked more than a month ahead, yet the hotel seemed unprepared and focused on the school group instead. They even told us breakfast would be late because of the kids. The kids were noisy late at night and early in the morning, and staff didn't alert the school staff that other guests needed rest. We barely slept. There weren't enough towels or toiletries, no hand wash, nowhere to hang towels in the toilet, and the toilet seats were broken. Our 3-bedroom apartment had cooking facilities, but the kitchen had nothing, not even water or spoons. They blamed the shortages on the school group. No extra bed was provided either. When some of us went out early to see the sunrise with the key and got held up in traffic, the hotel refused to give us another key so we could lock up and leave. Someone had to stay behind. We had a very unpleasant experience and felt there was no hospitality at all.

The food tasted good, and room service was really good too.

The MD was very friendly and arranged whatever we needed right away. Our rooms at Sierra were spacious and clean, and the service was just as good. A great place for friends or families in Kodaikanal. We'll choose Sierra again next time.
