Aura Crimson Vistas

The rooms were spacious, super cozy, and very well maintained, which was a relief. The property is beautiful and very clean. In Naidupuram, Aura Crimson Vistas has that quiet hill station feel while still being close enough to the main spots. If you're heading to Kodai and want to get away from city noise, it's a great choice. Highly recommend it for families or couples looking for a comfortable, high-quality room to return to after exploring Kodaikanal.

We kept having to call reception more than once for basic things like towels, sugar, and hand wash, so room service really needs improvement. The spacious rooms and breathtaking views made for a wonderful stay, and the food was truly exceptional. Mani from the kitchen and Karthik from housekeeping were especially friendly and helpful throughout.

The main problem was the staff. There were very few of them, and the person who mainly sat at reception had an attitude and showed zero hospitality. We asked for one extra hour to check out and were refused. As soon as checkout time came, they called us again and again to leave, even though nobody else was checking in and the whole hotel was empty. In Bangalore, a busy hotel in a prime area arranged our room five hours early at no charge, so it was hard to understand why this Kodai hotel with no other guests couldn't extend checkout by even one hour. I've never had that kind of treatment before. It was terrible. The location is good, the rooms are clean, and the view is breathtaking, with sunrise visible. The stay itself was pleasant, and the hotel and rooms were excellent, but the staff let it down.

We enjoyed our stay here with the whole family, and this place has become special to us. We liked it so much when we first visited kodai this September that we booked Aura again for December as soon as we started planning, with no other options. The stay turned out even better than the pictures suggested, with neatly set up rooms and a top-notch ambiance. The staff's hospitality and genuine care were the best part. There's no restriction on playing music loudly, so you can have a great time with music and a campfire, though that might disturb other guests. The hotel still provided the best service, and it's close to the lake, making it easy to get to places.
