Cottages by The Creek

Mr Vinod was keen to hear our feedback and ready to sort out any issues. When we arrived late in the evening, the chef kindly made us some food. At breakfast, the restaurant server was also the energetic room boy we'd seen earlier, who seemed to be available 24x7. The staff were the highlight. The guard at the gate greeted us with a smile and a prayer whenever we came in or went out, and the room boy was always upbeat and full of energy. We first thought the long off-road drive to the cottage would be a drawback, but it was worth it. A good vacation spot with good people.

The location is far from town, up a hill, and the road is rough and steep. My car was damaged on the slope. There's nowhere nearby to visit, and the walls have mold. The geyser in the bathroom didn't work, and tea or coffee room service isn't available before 7.30 am. Food is very expensive, with a chapati costing Rs. 69, compared with no more than Rs. 30 at big restaurants in Bangalore. Service takes a long time, mainly because there are too few cooking staff. I wouldn't recommend booking this hotel at all.

My family and I were left outside the property for an hour at midnight because the property manager didn't answer the phone. The broken road makes this location unsuitable for families. My car tires slipped toward a slope right in front of the property, and people from a nearby homestay helped us recover it. The property looked abandoned, and even with all this happening, nobody responded. It felt like no-man's land. This was the worst part of my trip, and I'll remember it for the rest of my life. I don't recommend staying here with family.

The peaceful creekside spot and warm bonfire nights gave the trip a special feel. Our cottages at Cottages by the Creek were neat, cozy, well equipped, and really comfortable. The food was tasty and seemed freshly made each time. I left feeling relaxed, cared for, and refreshed. 🌿✨❤️
