The staff made this family trip feel personal from the start. Since we were there for my birthday, management arranged a surprise cake at short notice, and we enjoyed talking about the night sky and the arrangements they made for stargazing. They even gave us beautifully printed family photos, which was a lovely keepsake. We stayed in two Hill View Rooms. The property is beautiful, the amenities are thoughtfully put together, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and family-friendly. My family and I travel for leisure often, but the care the team showed made this trip stand out. We came home with lovely memories and keepsakes, and would like to visit again. Thanks to the team, management, and resort manager for making the stay special. A great choice for families wanting a relaxing getaway.

The biggest letdown was the dining service. Dinner came with our package, but it took repeated follow-ups and a long wait to get food. Buffet counters were often unattended, and dishes weren't replenished promptly, so guests were left waiting. The food itself was average at best for a property at this price. I’d heard a lot about Great Trails Kodaikanal and arrived expecting a memorable stay, but the experience didn't live up to that reputation. The room tariff felt out of step with the service. At a premium price, I expected attention to detail and an efficient, seamless experience, and those were missing throughout. Kodaikanal should be a place to make special memories, but we spent too much of our time dealing with avoidable service problems. A beautiful location can't make up for poor hospitality. There are better options for the price, and based on our stay, I wouldn't recommend it.

We stopped in for a casual snack and dinner, but the experience was so good that we ended up staying the night. The staff were great and welcoming throughout, the food was 10 star, and the ambience was wonderful. The play area was super too. A lovely stay for families or couples.

Pandey deserves a special mention. He worked so hard, always hurrying around and breathing heavily, yet greeted guests with a smile and seemed to be everywhere. He coordinated our travel needs really well, and our family is especially grateful to him. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and spacious, with a lovely balcony view. The location is beautiful, and we had a pleasant stay. Breakfast and dinner had a very good spread. Everyone, from the welcome and check-in through room service, the restaurant, transport, and checkout, did a brilliant job. Great hospitality and a memorable trip for us.

We celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary at GRT Great Trails, and the team took the initiative to arrange a memorable candle light dinner. All the staff gave us personal attention throughout our stay, and the people were warm and hospitable. The valley view is lovely, and the timber chalet rooms look like forest log cabins. They’re beautifully done and cozy, and the restaurant serves excellent food. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly recommend it.
