The biggest problem for us was hot water. It was supposed to be available at set times, but even then the water never got properly hot. With the cold weather, going almost three days without hot water was difficult and uncomfortable. The resort is also far from the main town, and the steep uphill roads make walking back and forth challenging. Still, we appreciated the warm hospitality and the beautiful surroundings. Jem Valley Resort sits on top of the mountain, away from the main town’s hustle, and the view from our balcony was stunning, one of the best parts of the trip. We stayed three days and two nights. Our room was cozy, clean, and suited to couples and families. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced, and the in-room meals were fresh, yummy, and delivered quickly. The food quality impressed us. Staff were friendly and service was fast and professional. The manager was polite, accommodating, and made sure our needs were looked after. Despite the problems, it was a good stay and a memorable trip. With better hot water, it could easily be a perfect getaway. Thank you Jem Valley Resort for accommodating us!

Room service was prompt and on time, and the room itself was clean and comfortable, so the stay was good overall. Getting around was the main problem. The hotel is far from the city center, and there’s no proper transport if you arrive in Kodaikanal by public transport, so commuting from the main town is difficult. There also isn’t much nearby to explore, with no easy access to hill views, forest walks, or nature trails. The food was average. I didn’t like the buffet setup and would have preferred an individual à-la-carte menu as another option. The stay was comfortable, but the location and food choices could be better.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jem valley resort. The rooms were lovely and had great views, and the manager and staff were kind and well mannered. The hospitality was excellent.

The food was good, the service was great, and the room was so comfortable. The balcony view was just wow, and I’d love to come back to jem valley. My tummy was happy! Lots of love from Karnataka♥️

The food was good, and the Malabar paratha with veg kurma is worth trying. The place is a little isolated, but it felt safe and peaceful. Rooms were spacious, well kept, and had a great view. Comfortable stay for the price.
