Kodai Elegance

We really enjoyed staying here, and the hospitality was lovely. Being inside a forest made the setting feel special, though it was a bit scary when some Gaur wandered around our villa. The ambiance was great too.

The property is very well maintained, and the cleanliness and hygiene are impeccable. The scenery is stunning, and the ambiance is delightful. Its prime location makes it a great choice for travelers. Highly recommended!

Getting to Kodaikanal took us an hour by car, which was the main drawback. The place itself is decent and has reasonable facilities. The caretaker was helpful and provided decent food when we ordered. Tea and coffee were available on demand, though there was no newspaper or toiletries.

There isn't a restaurant here, but the forest setting is lovely, with jackfruit trees all around and a stream nearby that's excellent for bathing. It's about 32 km from here along the route to the Kodaikanal hills, where the road splits toward Kodaikanal and the village of Thandikudi. If you'd rather enjoy the Kodaikanal climate away from the crowds and concrete buildings in the main town, staying here is a good option. At a nearby shop I tried refreshing lemongrass tea made with fresh-cut stalks from their garden pot and honey. It was so good it got me thinking about a business idea for lemongrass tea.
