Kodai Retreat

The lake is close by, so getting around was easy, and the resort has a lovely view. We were very happy with the food and the hospitality. It was a satisfying stay, with no regrets.

I especially liked how well kept the grounds were and the peaceful feel created by the landscaping. There was plenty to do, from the pool to the restaurant meals and spa treatments, and the amenities suited different preferences. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help. The location and luxurious rooms also exceeded my expectations. It was a memorable stay, and I’d gladly come back. I’d recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a relaxing getaway.

Mr. Deepak, the front office manager, arranged everything from a cab to pick us up at the bus station to sightseeing. We had booked a two-bedroom apartment or suite online. The staff at Kodai Retreat were courteous and helpful, and the service was excellent. Room service was quick and good, the food tasted good, and we felt well looked after.

We had to pay extra for the bonfire, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. The room was filthy, with stained sheets and a bad smell. Staff were trying their best, but the owner, Maninaran, was rude and unhelpful on the phone. He ignored our complaints and treated us like a nuisance. When he couldn’t deal with them, he told us to “Go back to where you came from.” The amenities were practically nonexistent. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. It felt like a scam, as if they only cared about taking our money. Stay far away.
