Mist View

The morning view is the one thing this place has going for it. At night, constant voltage fluctuations were really disturbing, and the staff had no fix. The rooms and bathroom fittings need proper upkeep. Getting there is difficult too, with a very poor road and steep sections that would challenge most cars. Until the main problems are addressed, I don’t think the property is worth staying at.

The location is nice, but it’s up in the hills and the slopes on the way are difficult, especially for new drivers. You also have to travel 7-8 km to get around. Outside noise from nearby buildings was noticeable, so I wouldn’t suggest it for families or couples. The rooms look larger in the photos. The heater didn’t work, water was inconsistent, and we were stuck in the bathroom for 15 minutes because of it. Voltage kept fluctuating, and nothing changed after we complained. The taps and clothes hangers felt like loose fixtures, one came off when we hung clothes. Staff service was okay to some extent.

This didn’t feel suitable for families or women. The atmosphere was noisy and uncomfortable, and the drive is especially tough if you’re inexperienced. It’s on a hilltop, about 7-8 km from Kodaikanal lake. We ran into unstable voltage and water problems, the bathroom tap and clothes hanging setup weren’t proper, and there was no hot water. They also charged for a fresh-up room. At other hotels and resorts we booked online, that facility had been free, with a room provided for the other facilities. These are the problems we faced.

We had a great time here, including the evening bonfire, and the staff took care of what we needed. They were polite and well behaved. Food was very good, but you need to order it ahead, and the free wifi was useful. The hotel sits high on a hill, so the view really is like something from a movie. The surroundings are clean and the air feels fresh. Our room, bed and bathroom were all very clean, and I slept better than I had in a long time during those two days. For the price, I couldn’t ask for much more. Take a good vehicle, Xylo or Ertiga and above, to make it up there. Thanks for everything.
