At night, someone knocked on the door at random, which was disturbing, and the TV didn't work. The rooms, toilets, and corridors were in very poor condition, with an unpleasant smell throughout. Bedsheets, curtains, and blankets were old and dirty; despite telling the staff, they weren't replaced. The washrooms were unclean, and the flush didn't work properly. A very disappointing stay at Hotel Dinar, Chandni Chowk, Kolkata.

Please don't book a room here, especially through OYO. The rooms are completely different from what the listing shows. The manager won't let you take room photos, but OYO won't process the refund without pictures. That's how your money goes down the drain.

Getting to the hotel means walking along a narrow, heavily congested road with your luggage, since vehicles can hardly get through. They also wouldn't honor our online booking and demanded extra money for the rooms we'd already reserved. We agreed because it was so late to find another hotel, but the rooms were in awful condition. The flush, TV, and AC weren't working, and they could only promise to repair them during our stay. In the end, we had to move to another hotel.
