Hotel Mukund

The food was good, and the staff were polite, though they could have been friendlier. Rooms have been redone with fresh paint and new fittings. The lift is shared with four other establishments and wasn’t clean. I’d rate it 3.5 if I could, so I’ll settle on 4.

We booked two rooms for three days and told management our late flights meant we’d arrive at 10 PM. When we got there, the rooms weren’t ready and had apparently been given to other guests. We waited over an hour while the receptionist and someone I took to be the owner kept saying the rooms had already been assigned to us earlier that day. The room we eventually got hadn’t been cleaned. The sheets had brown dirt marks and looked used, and there were paan stains in the sink and bathroom corners. It was so late that we had to stay, even though it felt unlivable. They changed the sheets on the double bed when I asked, but left the two single beds untouched in our four-person room. For nearly the same price, there’s a much cleaner hotel on the fourth floor of the same building. I’d book a known business hotel instead of this place.

The staff were polite and professional, and the facilities and service were decent, though not the best. I didn’t order food here, so I can’t comment on it. The location and building were below par, and from the outside I’d think twice before going in. The sheets also looked like they hadn’t been cleaned on time, which I suppose is what you might expect from a two-star hotel.

The price is low, which is why I’m giving it three stars. Service was decent, and the rooms weren’t very clean, though they were okay for what I paid. The only lift is old and creepy. If you can’t bring yourself to use it, be ready to walk up five floors.
