The Tangerine Resort

We spent two nights at Tangerine Resort with family. The atmosphere was peaceful, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kids had fun in the pool, and there was a good variety of tasty food. A lovely choice for a short, relaxing family break.

On the third day of my Kodaikanal trip, I had my worst stay at Tangerine. There was a bad smell in the room. They usually provide a bathing kit and brushing kit for each stay, but I got only one soap. Check-out is at 10.30. The bed and blanket weren’t good, and even low-budget stays provide a thick blanket.

We stayed two nights at this beautiful resort and had great service. There aren’t many people available to provide service, but they do their best to keep guests comfortable. I’d definitely suggest it to families with little ones.

The location is inconvenient, about 8 km from the city center, and there’s no restaurant, so expect a 1 km walk to find food. The rooms were all dirty, damp, and very old. Ms Anita and Mr Akhil at the front desk didn’t seem interested in helping and tried to charge extra to upgrade us to a regular room. A terrible property and service. Book here if you want to feel frustrated.
