Vatta Merriment

The food really stood out. Every meal was fresh, full of flavor, and had the feel of a home-cooked family dinner. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Kodaikanal. Evenings by the campfire were special in the cool Kodai weather, and the balcony was a peaceful place to sit with tea and take in the misty hills, greenery, and mountain air. The staff were warm, attentive, and courteous from the moment we arrived. We had a wonderful, memorable stay at Vatta Merriment, and would happily return. It’s a lovely mix of comfort, scenery, good food, and hospitality, and I’d recommend it to families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Kodaikanal.

There’s no mobile network coverage at WYT Retreat Vatta Merriment, so you’ll need the resort’s Wi-Fi to connect with the outside world. It did help us put our phones away and enjoy nature more. The property is quiet and tucked away from the noise of the main town, making it a good place to unwind with family or friends. The rooms were comfortable, service was prompt and friendly, and waking up to the hills was a highlight. For the setting and experience, it felt like great value. I had a fantastic stay in Kodaikanal and would recommend it to anyone after a quiet Kodai getaway.

We spent two nights at this Kodaikanal resort, and it was much better than we expected. The room’s valley view was beautiful and worth the money. Meals were flavorful and seemed freshly prepared, and the staff stayed friendly, helpful, and informative throughout. A wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Kodaikanal.
