Hotel Alishan

We had a very poor stay here. We booked late at night, and after checking in found the rooms extremely small, around 8×10. The bed and mattress looked like they were from the 1990s, and felt cheap and uncomfortable. The bathroom was very dirty, with no basic facilities. Receptionist Bharat was extremely rude, which no hotel should accept. Don't book this place, even by mistake. The stay felt like being treated as beggars. We're hoteliers ourselves and had brought our staff to Diu for a tour and welfare visit. There were 8 staff members, all Indian except one from Nepal. The hotel refused to accommodate him, even though we showed his Nepali citizenship identity card. Bharat at reception was very rude. We pointed out that people come to Diu from all over the world, and asked whether someone without an Aadhaar card would also be refused a room.
