Prabhat Beach Resort

I booked and received confirmation in advance through Agoda, but when we arrived to check in after visiting the Mahadev temple, the front office refused to let us in. We were four brothers, and they apparently said their policy only allowed rooms for women accompanied by families. That restriction wasn't listed anywhere, including Agoda TnC. They also said they were never a member with Agoda and had received no booking confirmation from Agoda or anyone else, even after we showed our confirmation email. When we sought a refund through Agoda because we were denied entry, management first claimed we hadn't arrived. After we challenged that, they changed their story and alleged we were intoxicated. We were sober, and that claim is completely untrue. It felt like a malicious attempt to defame us and avoid responsibility. We have evidence, including photos from the encounter, and I challenge the hotel to release the full CCTV footage of our arrival and interaction, which would show what happened and that we weren't drunk. Agoda's systems intervened and stopped the payment based on the evidence, and I'm grateful for their proper procedures. This was more than bad service. It felt like a deliberate attempt to cheat us. Travelers, especially international visitors and family groups, should be aware of these unethical practices. Our local Gujarat driver witnessed the whole incident, and we were fortunate to have him there. I feel I should share this so others can judge for themselves. I attached a photo of the person in the blue shirt who was so rude, sitting at the counter.

The tablecloth was wet, and the restaurant felt unhygienic. The food was smelly and unfresh, and only average, though you can get better food on the streets for less. Surmai and pomphret were both on the menu, but they offered us only pomphret, which I think was because it made them more money. We asked for two green chillies, but they insisted we buy 20 pieces at a price. Poor experience. Avoid bringing your family. There are better options in Diu.

A good budget resort with a clean pool and good food. It's close to nagvoa beach, has good room facilities, and provides parking inside the property.

The pool was poorly filtered, with dead insects and rubbish in it, and tiles had come off the room walls. They couldn't fix the Wi-Fi or the TV in my room. That's all. I'd say this place is fine if you're in diu mainly for sightseeing and plan to stay only a few days. Hope this review is helpful. 😊
