Hotel Meera

At Meera Restaurant, we wanted spicy Paneer Tikka, but the waiter recommended Paneer Tufani, saying it would be spicy. It wasn’t spicy at all, but we had to eat it. Later we ordered spicy Paneer Tikka Masala, and that was so hot we couldn’t eat it even with curd. Prices were very high for the quality and taste. A really disappointing experience.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the bus stand, but left with a bad taste in our mouths. The rooms were dirty, and the damp, sticky floor made you not want to put bare feet down. There was no water in the casserole, and the soap was so tiny it was hard to hold, let alone bathe with. They were very reluctant to give a bill.

I had asked him to send the QR so I could pay in advance. He told me to come and said he’d reserve the room, so please don’t lie. We spoke for two days, and he assured me the room would be available. At the last moment he said everything was booked and offered a shared hall instead. I’d explained that I was traveling with my family and elderly grandmother, so this was unacceptable. His first call was friendly and focused on convincing me to stay, then he became rude and wouldn’t cooperate. The rooms might be good, since I didn’t get to experience them, but the loose talk and fake promises just to earn money are unacceptable. Cheap, third-class behaviour. Don’t go to this hotel.

The rooms were okay and covered our basic needs. Our travel agent booked and handled things, so we didn’t need room service. The hotel is right on the road but outside Iscon Gate, quite far from Dwarkadhish Temple. With a private vehicle, the location is okay; otherwise, you’ll need a local rikshaw or shared chhakda. If you’re traveling with elderly people, book somewhere near Dwarkadhish Mandir.
