Hotel Suraj Grand

The property was under construction, and the room wasn't clean. Basic things were missing, including a jet spray and hot water. We only got drinking water after asking repeatedly. Breakfast was part of the package, but the receptionist first said the restaurant wasn't operating and he couldn't provide it. After we asked again and again, he agreed to arrange breakfast from outside. The TV didn't work, and neither did the AC remote. There was nobody to carry our luggage.

The location is excellent and the property has potential, but poor upkeep makes it feel more like a lodge than a hotel. The ambience needs work. The rooms are just okay if you're staying for one night.

The food was bland and poorly cooked, and tasted as if it had been sitting out for hours. The portions were small but still felt heavy and unappetizing. Sticky tables, dim lighting that felt depressing rather than cozy, and poor cleanliness made me uncomfortable the whole time. Staff seemed uninterested in the obvious problems. There are plenty of better options around, so I'd recommend avoiding this place. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was a complete disappointment.

I couldn't get my work started and ended up taking leave. After a long argument, I found out the Wi-Fi they provided was a public network with terrible speed. This was my personal experience at "Hotel Suraj Grand", so I suggest people avoid coming here if they need to get important work done. Staff weren't available to hear our problems. The power went out before 9:00 am, and the generator never worked. Different people gave different explanations: some said diesel was running low, others blamed a blown fuse, and others said there was a transformer problem and people were working on it. God only knows why that would stop them from starting the generator. Power came back almost two hours later.
