Sukriti Resort

Sukriti Beach Resort has a homestay feel, close to nature and far from the commercial hotel experience. We had a lovely homemade breakfast, though we didn’t get to try lunch or dinner. The kitchen staff gave amazing service, and the three dogs coming over to say hello were a delight for me as a dog lover. The beach is only about a five-minute walk away.

I felt at home here ❤️ The Indian-style rooms were comfortable and clean, with everything I needed. It’s a top-notch location, away from the town noise, where all you can hear is the waves. There’s a lovely jungle feel I wish I could take home. I could practice yoga on the rooftop in the morning, with the ocean, sunrise, or sunset in view. The owners and staff all went the extra mile to make my stay as good as possible. I honestly wish I’d stayed longer. Paradise 🔱💫

Sukriti feels like a little paradise in Kerala. It’s family run, with a beautiful garden, and I felt safe and well cared for. The beach is right there, and the place is quiet and peaceful. If you’re in the mood for more action, the Cliff is within walking distance along a beautiful route with spectacular views. The food at Sukriti is lovely too.

I stayed for two weeks and really appreciated the relaxed feel, the beach access, and the kind, helpful staff. The management’s ethical approach and environmentally sustainable way of running the resort mattered a lot to me. My single room was very clean, and laundry was available on request. The food was great, made fresh each day, and had an authentic Indian touch. Free filtered water was always available. There are lovely dogs and coconut palms around, and you can ask for a fresh coconut. Being close to nature is part of the experience in India. The resort is a five-minute walk from Edava town for shopping, and about 30 minutes from the tourist area of Varkala Cliff, with its markets, tailors, and more. The terrace is a lovely spot for yoga and small live concerts, with amazing sea sunsets. Yoga there in the morning or at sunset was a unique experience. I’d definitely come back for the easygoing atmosphere and the wonderful people I met.
