Hotel Shalimar Residency

It's handy that the hotel is close to both the metro and railway stations, and checkout is 24 hours after check-in, which gives good flexibility. The room itself was average, with a clean bed and bathroom, but there was no bedsheet, blanket, or water supplied. I had booked an AC room, though the air conditioner didn't work at all, making the stay uncomfortable.

Honestly, I picked this place only because it was close to where I needed to go. There was a strange smell as soon as we entered, bad enough to make us feel like throwing up. The room had no blankets or water, the AC didn't work, and the bathroom wasn't clean at all. There were no towels either. For the cheap stay they provided, the price was too high. I wouldn't recommend it; you can find much better stays for less.

We only lasted an hour because the bathroom smelled so bad and the whole atmosphere was unpleasant. When we raised it, they sprayed room freshener instead of properly fixing the problem. We asked to change rooms and were first told none were available, then later told we could move. By then, the experience was already ruined. They didn't provide bedsheets at first. We chose this hotel because we were travelling to the airport and couldn't find another one at that time. I work in the south area. It was extremely disappointing, and I don't recommend it.

Over my whole 5 day Trip to kerala, this was the best hotel stay experience I had. The rooms were too good, and the staff were very cooperative. I can definitely say it was the best value for money. I'm from Ahmedabad , Gujarat.
