I was unsure at first, but the hotel turned out to be decent. The renovated rooms were clean, the washrooms were well kept, and there was hot water. I paid ₹4.1k in the year-end rush; ₹3.5k seems fairer. Don’t count on fast room service or extra amenities, and staff often expect tips, so you may be better off handling things yourself. I’d give it 3.5-4 overall. If you’re spending up to ₹6k in Ayodhya, Hotel Krishna(this one) and Hotel Krinoscco are the two I’d recommend.

The room size and basic facilities were the strong points for me. Rooms are spacious and generally comfortable for the price, and Khadi-branded toiletries are a nice touch. The property is reasonably equipped and close to Ayodhya Cantt/administrative block, which is handy for transit and temple visits. Other travelers’ reviews are mixed on upkeep, and reports mention variation in maintenance, bathrooms, and linens, with housekeeping and breakfast often needing work. The service was the real problem. Check-in took nearly 30 minutes because reception couldn’t find the booking, even with four people there. There was no menu in the room and the phone didn’t work. After I told staff, they kept saying the menu card was in the room, then after several failed attempts admitted someone might have misplaced it. It’s not an expensive thing to replace, and I ended up walking to reception to get one. Dinner arrived after a 90-minute wait from when we arrived. Good hardware, weak service. The room size and facilities may work if location is your priority, but expect delays and poor response. If quick check-in, reliable in-room communication, and prompt dining matter, there are alternatives in Ayodhya/Faizabad with stronger service records.

I’m in Room No. 214 now, and it’s been very disappointing. There are so many mosquitoes that I can’t sleep properly. For such a large, expensive hotel, the basics aren’t being maintained. The room is also very small for the tariff, so it doesn’t feel worth the price.

The rooms have the amenities needed for a stay of a day or two. With tourism in Ayodhya surging, the hotel should bring service levels and staff presentation up.

Food here is awesome, while the rooms are just average. It’s one of Ayodhya’s older prominent hotels, but the staff seem as lethargic as at other hotels in the city and don’t pay much attention to what you need.
