Hotel Nandanik palace

The bedding and blankets smelled bad and weren't clean, and the food from the in-house restaurant was awful. There was no TV in the room or Wi-Fi. Staff weren't warm or welcoming, either. The owner seemed oddly suspicious and had the police station verify our documents. It took about an hour, and there wasn't a clear reason, though we cooperated throughout. We also heard strange banging from upstairs all night, as if a room wall was being hammered, even though no construction was happening. The hotel is fairly near the railway station, so trains can be heard, though not at night. There are some upsides: plenty of parking, furnished rooms with geysers, and food available through room service. Rooms start at around 800-900.

The amount on the food bill didn't match the menu. They refused to correct it or refund the difference, saying the menu prices were old and we had to pay the new rate. It felt like cheating or fraud.

On Madari road, this is one of the main hotels in the FALAKATA area, with a restaurant. The rooms are spacious and clean. Non-AC rooms cost around 700-800, while AC rooms are about 1200-1300.

The rooms vary, so it's best to check before booking since some aren't good. Service to the rooms was okay. The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from Falakata station.
