The Lalit Mangar

We paid 12,769, and it really wasn't worth it. The Lalit Mangar is a beautiful property with lovely surroundings, but our stay was stressful because the service, communication, and attention to detail fell short. The advertised "Experiences" were a major letdown. ATV rides, yoga, and rock climbing were listed, but they weren't hotel activities and the hotel didn't arrange them for guests. When we asked, the answer was simply "no." Our room had very dim lighting, with no proper lights for dressing or doing makeup. The flush in the washroom kept leaking, so we called maintenance at 4 AM. The repair disturbed us and we couldn't get back to sleep. There was also no iron or ironing board in the room. Service was consistently slow, and the staff didn't feel warm or welcoming. Room service often took more than 30 minutes, and even a bottle opener took half an hour. At the restaurant, we were first given the wrong order. It was corrected, but then dinner took another 30-40 minutes to arrive. Breakfast was just as frustrating. The omelette took over 30 minutes and wasn't made as requested. The dosa took more than 30 minutes too, and came without sambar. Tea and coffee arrived without teaspoons. Salt and pepper were missing from the table, and we had to ask three times before they were brought. Almost everything needed repeated follow-ups. This property deserves a much better guest experience, and I hope management addresses these problems. What should've been a relaxing getaway left us feeling frustrated. Look for better options for your stay, peeps.
