The staff paid close attention to what we needed and were very accommodating. I found the room clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the stunning view made the stay feel extra special. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and courteous, helpful staff made the stay relaxing. The service was excellent and everything went smoothly, so the whole experience was memorable. I’d recommend this hotel and would love to return.

We left without staying because we felt unsafe and extremely uncomfortable. When we booked, we clearly said we would arrive between 12 AM-1AM in the “Special Request” section. The hotel acknowledged it with “OK,” so we believed our late arrival was accepted. Later, someone called from an unknown number and said, “you are coming late, so send me ₹1000 and I will open the hotel for you.” He sent his personal UPI scanner. It wasn’t an official hotel payment request, and the whole thing seemed deeply suspicious and unacceptable. I asked him to send the hotel’s official UPI details instead. He responded with audio messages full of baseless, unreasonable excuses. We decided to go to the hotel directly and arrived at 10:45 PM, before the 11:00 PM reception closing time shown on the booking website. At the gate, we called reception in the cold night and were met with rude, disrespectful behavior. Staff gave us an eye-opening verbal lecture about why we hadn’t paid to their gpay account earlier. We pointed out the website policy clearly said guests should not pay to any personal number. The staff then said, “then you can't check in after 10 pm as per policy.” There was no courtesy, professionalism, or justification for treating us that way. Given the earlier demand for a personal payment and the hostile reception, we chose not to stay. This was an extremely disturbing experience and showed a complete lack of professionalism, basic civic sense, and respect for customers. I strongly caution other travelers to reconsider booking here. Safety, transparency, and basic hospitality standards seem severely lacking.

The quiet atmosphere and beautiful views made for a lovely stay at AVANA Lha-Yul, Gangtok. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very polite and helpful, making the visit pleasant. The location is handy for exploring Gangtok. Thanks for the warm hospitality, highly recommended.
