The biggest scare came at checkout. I’d told the staff we were leaving early and paid everything the night before, but the next morning reception was empty and the hotel was locked. I searched around for staff, then called the travel desk and learned they were in Room no 201. We had to wake them up before we could get out, and nearly missed our flight. Getting dinner was another mess. It took an hour and a half and several calls, then we had to go up to the rooftop dining hall ourselves. They wouldn’t bring it to our room because we’d ordered roti, even though we saw other guests being served in their rooms. The food wasn’t good either: half-cooked rotis, tasteless fried daal, oily Aloo Gobi, and small portions. We booked well ahead through MakeMyTrip, but couldn’t reach the hotel on check-in day. After several calls, Oyo customer service gave us the hotel number, but that didn’t help either. We did get rooms when we arrived, though they and the toilets didn’t meet Oyo standards or justify the price. Also, “triple sharing” meant an extra single mattress with bedding on the floor, which we had to arrange ourselves. We stayed in Room no 105 & 106. Streetlight came in through the windows even with all the lights off, and traffic noise made it hard to sleep. Terrible experience.
