The owner was remarkably honest and kind. After we checked out, we realized we'd left our camera in the room. When we called, the owner kept the room unoccupied for a day, checked it personally, found the camera and returned it safely. That kind of care is rare. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Blue Poppy, with comfortable rooms, supportive staff and great service. Breakfast puri sabji was so delicious I ate nearly 20 puris. The whole team and owner deserve credit for their hospitality. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Gangtok.

They didn't mention that food would cost extra, then handed us the bill at checkout. Breakfast cost 60-70, but two people were served just 3 slices of bread with butter. When we asked for 2 more, she asked the owner whether she should give them. The dal was like plain water, and the food wasn't good. They also didn't provide a room heater. Overall, a poor experience.

The city and hills look so pretty from the room, and the bathroom was clean. The rooms are amazing and clean, service and hospitality are good, and the people are really nice. Only issue was some slightly broken flooring.

The food was the only good part. Staying at Blue Poppy was a very bad experience: connectivity was zero, and it was too expensive for the service.

The food was really yummy, and the ladies on staff were so sweet. The hotel is nice and the staff are good. Special thanks to kaushik da rajiv da uttam da subho da ranjan da and sanjay da. Must visit blue poppy hotel in Gangtok 🫶🫰
