We loved the mountain and valley views each morning, and the rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The food was fresh, tasty, and varied, with every meal feeling like a treat. Service was warm and caring. By the second day, staff had remembered our preferences and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Barfung Retreat gave our family a fantastic holiday, peaceful but still convenient, and we'd happily recommend it for a scenic, relaxing break. Thanks for making the trip so memorable! ❤️

The friendly dogs brought an extra bit of charm to our stay, especially Coco. With stunning mountain scenery and such a peaceful feel, Barfung Retreat was a refreshing place to get away from the busy city. The staff were attentive and warm, too.

We stayed three nights and I really wish we could have stayed longer. You can even see Kanchenjunga from bed with the curtains open. The Barfung Retreat is a great spot for time with Kanchenjunga and the Himalayas, away from the bustle of touristy places, and the views are incredible. The caring crew did their best to meet our needs. Meals are delicious and literally home cooked, but order ahead since they're made to order, and be sure about the quantity. The coffee and momos are especially good.

Dinesh bhaiya and the staff welcomed us so warmly and made it feel like home away from home. The mountain range view is the best. I'd come back every time I visit sikkim.

It doesn't feel safe to walk around at night because there is simply no road around the place. The room service was very poor, and a cup of ginger tea costs Rs 100. Inside, the room is dark and shabby looking, with no sunlight; even all the lights on don't brighten it much. The bathroom faucet was defective, and the TV didn't work because the set box was disconnected. There was no wifi, and mobile reception was so-so.
