Hotel Tashi Delek

The grilled Rainbow Trout was a highlight, cooked perfectly and one of the best meals I’ve had here. The rooms also have breathtaking views that made mornings feel surreal. At Hotel Tashi Del, right in the heart of MG Marg, the location, atmosphere, and accessibility are hard to beat. Muskan and Ambika, the receptionist-cum-accountant, made us feel especially welcome with their warm, efficient, always-smiling service. The other staff were courteous and helpful too. It was one of my best experiences in Gangtok, and I couldn’t have asked for more.

We were in a non-view room, which was very spacious and had an attached sitting area. The staff were cooperative, and Rajani and Ranjita at reception helped us through the procedures and whenever we needed assistance. They also offered us a very good room tariff. Service was prompt, and breakfast had a wide spread. The terrace dining area was cozy and attractive. One drawback is that there’s no food room service, and the bathroom could be larger.

The location is right on the mall, and the stay was excellent and good value. Ranjita, Rajni, and Binita were wonderful hosts, and the guards were very helpful as well. The one downside is the lack of a lift, which is difficult for senior citizens.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tashi Delek. The view of Mount Kanchenjunga from the balcony was unforgettable, with snow-covered peaks to wake up to, and the peaceful setting made our mornings special. The meals were consistently delicious, fresh, and varied. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and everyone from security to housekeeping made us feel at home. From arrival, the whole team showed warmth, professionalism, and care. Ms. Ambika, Binita, and Muskan at reception were always welcoming and ready to help; waitress Ms. Anju was friendly and attentive at every meal. We’d gladly return and recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Gangtok.
