Hotel Sree Annamalaiyar Park

Our prepaid rooms were supposed to be available from noon, but we found out one was occupied until 10 PM. When we arrived late at night, we waited nearly an hour for access. The lobby had mosquitoes, and we spent the rest of the wait in a maintenance room with no working AC. Maintenance work continued throughout our stay, and the staff were disappointing and not very helpful. The rooms were average and the buffet was disappointing. For what we paid, the service felt poor and the stay too expensive. The hotel’s star classification should be more realistic.

The staff were no help and could even come across as rude. We’d reserved and paid for a couple of rooms, but arriving late at night still meant waiting an hour to get in. About 25 minutes of that was in a lobby full of mosquitoes, then we were sent to a maintenance room without working AC. The entire hotel was under maintenance, and it spoiled the trip. For this level of service, the stay felt far too expensive. They should take a couple of stars off their 3-star rating.

I stayed from the 25th to the 27th. The hotel is close to temples, but that was about the only good thing. The room was good, the exterior spacious, there was hot water, and the buffet breakfast was good. There’s no full-service restaurant, the bathroom needs maintenance, and the TV didn’t work. The food was horrible, with too much oil in the fried rice, and there was no soap in the bathroom. Don’t go by the menu card in the room, at lunch they only serve variety rice, curd rice, sambhar rice, and lemon rice.

The complimentary breakfast was tasty and well organized, and I found the hotel clean throughout. My room was comfortable and well maintained, with a pleasant ambience. The staff were courteous and attentive, which made the visit easy. I had a satisfying stay at Hotel Sree Annamalaiyar Park and would recommend it to people visiting the area.
