We checked in at 10 pm on the 14th and found there was no water in the room, even for washing. We told the manager and owner, suraj pradhan, but he spoke rudely and said, “With this money, have you bought the whole hotel?” The water issue still wasn’t fixed. The next day, there was barely any warm water in the washroom. When I touched the geyser tap to check if it was on, I got a powerful electric shock. We told the manager, but he still paid no attention and said nothing had happened. I was taken aback. The quality and service are both bad. I don’t recommend this place.

The Junction was a great find, away from the bustle but still walkable, about 800 meters from Mg Marg. The rooms are spacious, there’s hot water, and the staff are kind. Mr. Suraj ji, the owner, helped us find a hotel in Darjeeling for our next stop, and caretaker Maahi was always reachable by phone.
