From room 405, we could see kanchanjangha from bed while having tea, and the room was spacious. It’s comfortable for the price, with a clean, nicely decorated lobby. The owner was friendly and helpful. MG Marg, a dryer, a cleaner, a shop, a restaurant and other facilities were less than a minute away. There’s no lift, which can be disappointing for older people, though the stairs are low. A big yes for a family or friends visiting Sikkim.

There’s a restaurant in the hotel, so we could order food there, and the staff were helpful and well mannered. The manager was cooperative, the rooms were clean and had all amenities, and there was private parking. Location wise, The Meru Hotel Gangtok is opposite the Pantaloons store Gangtok and about 300 m from M.G.Marg. We had a nice stay, and it’s a good choice for families, friends, or someone special.
