Udaan Alpine Resort

The location is good, and dinner at the restaurant was very good. I went with a two-year-old toddler and two other older kids. Chef aditya and the restaurant team were happy to help with every request. Chef aditya understood what I needed and made good baby food, and deena and doma were extremely good with guest service. I highly recommend this hotel for families, with its location, food, view, and play area to keep kids occupied. The only thing that felt a little lacking was the front office’s understanding of guests during check-in. We arrived late, at 10 pm, and it was cold with the kids. I wish they’d completed the formalities faster, or let the kids and ladies go up first and finished the paperwork later.

It was my first tour, and the comfortable stay and really good food made it a memorable experience. Miss Nikita deserves a special mention for taking care of what we needed and keeping everything running smoothly. All the staff were polite, supportive, and attentive. I highly recommend Udaan Alpine, and appreciate the team’s efforts to make our stay so pleasant.

We booked two luxury suites for 25,000 through make my trip for a two-night stay, but the trouble started at check-in. They first put us in one deluxe room and one family room instead. Both were dirty, poorly ventilated, and missing basic amenities. The bathrooms smelled foul, my room door wouldn’t close properly, the power extension didn’t work, and we found insects. It took two hours to get an alternative room. Meanwhile, several guests were saying they’d had no water in their rooms for over four hours. The operations team’s answer was that they would provide buckets separately. Breakfast wasn’t included despite the price, and the food at the property was poor. A lot of people were complaining about food delays. They didn’t even allow tea until 7.30am. After all that, we were told we’d be moved to another hotel 8 km away. The property is nowhere near MG Marg, despite what’s advertised. Wrong room allocation, unhygienic rooms, no water, broken fixtures, insects, poor food, misleading location, and unprofessional handling. There are no pros worth mentioning. I wouldn’t recommend it. Extremely poor service for the price and zero value for money.

The rooms are spacious, the food is tasty, and the mountain view from the room was amazing. They offer different room categories, including ones with fireplaces and jacuzzis as attachments. The only downside is how far the place is from MG Road, so you’ll need to arrange transport to get to the main city. It’s a lovely spot for people coming to the mountains for some peace and quiet.
