Shayra was so kind and helpful, and the rooms were well kept, just what you'd expect from Radisson. We had a very good stay, especially with the hotel being close to the Statue of Unity. The weak point was Sankalp Restaurant: it kept serving South Indian food, and the Chinese dishes we tried weren't up to standard. Breakfast was much the same each day, and the restaurant should improve its other cuisines.

We enjoyed dinner at Sankalp, where the polite, helpful staff added to the meal. Soup, starters and mains were all part of it. In the morning, breakfast was laid out right at 7 as promised. I love South Indian food, so I especially liked the upma, mini idli and uttapam with coconut chutney and sambar. My plain dosa came in five minutes. There were also paratha, bhaji, boiled eggs and toast. The coffee was below par because the machine was being repaired. I chose Radisson D square for one night with dinner and breakfast while looking for clean, hygienic accommodation for a Statue of Unity visit. The hotel has the group's basic amenities, and room service was good. The room was standard, but the mattress was very soft and uncomfortable and made my backache worse. After breakfast, reception arranged a suitable vehicle, and we reached the newly built Ekta Nagar station in ten minutes.

The breakfast setup was a mess: the dining area is too small for the number of guests, we stood in long queues, then found empty trays and nowhere to sit. The drinking water tasted poor, possibly unfiltered. Room service was also effectively absent. Calls got no response, and although we asked for the room to be made up while we were out, we returned to find it untouched. The room had dusty floors, stained, dirty pillows and mattresses, unhygienic bathrooms and toilets, and a grimy gallery. Mosquitoes were a major problem and the hotel offered no fix. The AC and TV didn't work, and a loud, constant clicking from the ceiling fan made sleeping impossible. Getting to the room was another ordeal: there are three lifts, but staff didn't tell guests about the other two, so everyone waited around one lift for as long as 15 minutes. It felt like we spent half the trip in the lobby. Management seemed completely absent, and the basic hygiene was shocking for a hotel here. The TV was labelled Samsung, but I believe it was an assembled set with a Samsung label. Even Samsung would be amazed at its poor build. It felt like cheating. This place seems focused on filling rooms instead of guest experience. Avoid it if you care about your time and health. Don't go by the Radisson name: it is a member of Radisson Individuals, not Radisson itself, and I found none of Radisson's quality here. Only the price matched Radisson. Nothing else.

The rooms were tiny, shabby and poorly maintained, with very low cleanliness standards. Outside the window was an unfinished, dirty museum parapet area, covered in dust and looking long neglected. Requests were ignored, replies were slow, and there was no effort to address problems or make us comfortable. The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional and uncooperative, with none of the basic courtesy that should make guests feel welcome. Dealing with the manager, Mr. Fakhruddin Khan, made things worse. He spoke in a disrespectful, dismissive way and showed no basic professionalism. Someone in a management role should know how to treat customers politely and with dignity. I strongly don't recommend staying here. Choose somewhere else if respectful service, cleanliness and basic hospitality matter to you.

The hotel is safe for families, with basic but comfortable rooms, plenty of parking and a convenient location. There are many restaurants nearby and it's fairly close to tourist spots. The lobby and security staff were friendly. A few things need work: the breakfast buffet quality, housekeeping training and maintenance of the bath fittings. They don't take credit cards, and that wasn't mentioned ahead of time. The bedroom mattress had no lumbar support at all and needs an upgrade.
