Goroomgo Royal Surya Gaya

We spent three nights here and found everything excellent. I especially appreciated how quickly the reception staff handled a room change. We first chose a pleasant room facing the road, but the traffic was noisy. When I mentioned it, someone came to move our luggage within minutes, and we were shifted politely to a quieter room without hesitation. The rooms and service were excellent. Mr Naiyyar, SK singh, and all the staff were very humble throughout our stay. The hotel restaurant is well maintained, though my wife and I are vegetarian and she avoided the mixed veg and non-veg restaurant. We ordered tea and other things to the room several times, and they were cheap and excellent. For a pure vegetarian meal, we went to Rajasthan hotel, about 700 meters away on church Road. For more upscale and costly vegetarian dosa or idli, pramod laddu is about 700 meter along the adjoining road from church road. Hotel Royal Surya is about 1 km from Gaya jn, on the platform number 1 side. A reserved e-rickshaw for 50 or 60 rupees was a fair price and agreed upon. The hotel is about 100 steps from kashinath mod and 250 meters from Bharat sevashram sangh Gaya. We didn't need to visit Bharat sevashram sangh because the pandit ji suggested by the hotel owner, Sri Ramji sharma, arranged the ceremonies comfortably and honestly the next morning, including transport and pooja saamgri, all within budget. For local sightseeing, including gehlor ghati and bodh gaya, taxi services and even autos were asking 3000 to 4000 rupees. I spoke with Mr Naiyyar at reception, who let me contact Mr Siddhant, general manager of hotel Royal surya, about a taxi. Without any bargaining, he later quoted just rupees 2500 for the same trip by Car Toyota Glanza. We set out from the hotel at 8 am. I learned about two new places, Doongeshwari devi caves and Sujata temples, and when I asked to include them, he happily agreed. The good taxi service came through Siddhant and his driver Guddu. I'd suggest visiting gehlor ghati to see the road Dasarath majhi carved through hard stone mountain alone over 22 years for love of his wife Falguni. Please may see it on Wikipedia. We secretly helped a few hundred rupees to Dasarath majhi's only son, Bhagirath majhi.

The breakfast was tasty and healthy, with a good variety served to the customer's choice. We enjoyed our stay, and the service was good with fine hospitality. Manager Mirtunjay Best Guy.
