The staff at reception were pleasant to talk to, though they seemed focused on arranging outside services like tours for a commission. The stay itself was poor across the board, especially for the price and location. Our Super Deluxe three-bed room cost 2500/-, but it was dark, the bed was hard, the TV didn't work, there was no drinking water or toiletries. I wouldn't bring family here. Cheaper hotels are better.

There were cockroaches in the room, and the bathroom smelled bad, with pigeon droppings on the floor. The tap barely ran, and there was no exhaust fan, mirror, or proper place to hang clothes. The bedding was dirty too, from a dusty mattress to stained blankets and bedcover. It was an unhygienic stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

The restaurant wasn't worth trying either. The food was spicy and not fresh. Staff weren't friendly or helpful, and seemed interested in earning commission from guests. I'd avoid their extra services, as I felt there was a hidden aim to get money from customers. In the bedroom, room spray couldn't cover the bathroom's dirty smell, and cockroaches and little insects were easy to find. One of the worst hotels in Gaya. Don't go.

The quiet feel inside was a plus, and I liked the food as well. Hotel Grand Place is only about a 100-meter walk from Gaya Railway Station, so getting around is easy. Our room was clean and comfortable, with modern touches, and the staff were polite and quick to help. Cleanliness and service were both top-notch. A good fit for families, business trips, or short stays. I'd recommend it for comfort and convenience.

Even if you can't find another hotel in Gaya, I wouldn't book this one. The website photos are misleading. I had such a devastating stay that I'd rather wait in the room at Gaya Railway Station.
