OYO 18625 Prem Hotel

I booked through OYO on 2 Aug for a one-day visit to the city. It was late, so I went for a cheap option. I've stayed in OYOs before, and even the cheaper ones have had a standard of service. This was easily my worst OYO and hotel stay. I reached around 12:15 am but didn't get into my room until 12:45. There was nobody at reception for about 20 minutes, and the man who finally showed up was slow and seemed not to care about guests. The room was filthy, with a dirty washroom and spots on the walls. I asked to move rooms, but the receptionist said this was the only one available. Since it was so late, I had no choice but to stay. In the morning, I planned to rate the hotel honestly on the OYO app. At checkout, a woman at reception asked to use my phone for the booking ID, grabbed it, opened the app, and submitted a five-star rating. When I asked why she'd done that, since I hadn't wanted to give five stars, she replied, “jab 5 star nahi Dene hote to rukte Kyu ho” (“if you don't want to give five stars, why stay?”). I said the review was about customer experience, and she answered, “Humko pata hai humari service kaisi hai, sikhao mat” (“we know what our service is like, don't lecture us”). I've already emailed OYO customer service about it. Don't stay here if you want a good experience.

The rooms were in good condition and well maintained. I checked in very late at night, and it took barely two minutes. The staff were polite, and the manager was polite too, though I can hardly remember his name.

Staying here feels like being at home. The welcome, decor, and ambience were all lovely, and the dining, service, and checkout deserve praise too. Giving Prem Hotel 10/10 was easy.

Good experience all around. The rooms are good, housekeeping is quite good, and the staff are polite. You can get good rooms and service here at a very cheap price.
