OYO 18669 Shree Palce

At Shree Palace, the owner's behavior was awful. She said she wouldn't give me a room because I'd booked at such a low price. I politely explained that I'd booked through the app at the price shown there, and that she should speak with the people handling the app service. She refused to contact anyone and said she'd only give me a room if I paid extra to meet the price listed there. She also warned that complaining would mean no refund and no room at any hotel, and that I'd be sent from place to place all day without a result. In the end I paid the extra money and got a room that was so bad it wouldn't lock from the outside. A service person told me I could leave my door unlocked because it couldn't be locked and nobody would steal my luggage. After a long time asking the owner, I was moved to another room. A very, very bad experience.

The location is poor, and the rooms are dirty and unhygienic. The staff acted like thugs, and the whole place felt unprofessional and unethical. If I had any political influence, I’d have this hotel bulldozed and ban the entire OYO system. OYO and its partner hotels should be banned and demolished. 😐😐😐😐😐😐😐

The rooms are a decent size, and the staff were helpful with good service. Cleanliness could be better in both the rooms and bathrooms. The location is just okay, though you have to walk quite a way to find public or other transport.

We had booked about six rooms, each for three guests, but no extra bedding was provided. They wanted another ₹120 for it, even though I’ve booked through OYO before and received bedding for three guests in one room. The rooms also looked cramped and nothing like the photos. In each room there was no mirror apart from the one in the bathroom, and the washrooms weren’t properly cleaned. After checkout, one of us asked to use a washroom, but staff gave several excuses and said there was no common one. I wonder how they use it themselves. It was a horrible experience.
