La Cabana Beach and Spa Resort

We loved the range of food, including the authentic North Indian flavours, and the team was warm and attentive throughout our stay. The beachfront setting, ambience and general vibe made La Cabana Beach & Spa Resort feel just right for our special occasion. It was a delightful, satisfying visit, and we’d definitely like to come back.

The cab situation was the one downside for us in Goa. Local drivers charge fixed fares that can be nearly three times as much even for a short ride. There seems to be a clear monopoly, and app-based cab services aren't allowed to operate freely, leaving travelers with few choices. Getting around can get expensive unless you have your own car or arrange private transport ahead of time. At La Cabana, we spent four lovely days and honestly didn't want to leave. Lakha Bana is peaceful and cozy, whether you call it a hotel or a villa. The property has direct beach access, and its cottages come in small, single, master and double options. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms clean and well kept, and the ambience is calm and lovely. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast and dinner. The staff team, with women working by day and men at night, is humble, professional and well trained, and made us feel at home. The spa is a must try too. The therapist's magical fingers gave one of the best massages you could ask for, especially after long walks on the beach.

The Arabian Sea right beside the property gives it an amazing location. The cottages are old and could use some improvement, and while the restaurant food is tasty, breakfast wasn't that good. Staying during a wedding party was unpleasant because of the many guests and all the noise. If you want a quiet stay, check with the resort about wedding parties before you visit.

A peaceful, beautifully kept ambience and delicious food with a good range of choices made this one of our best resort experiences. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and Mr. Philip Fernandez deserves a special thanks for the calm, polite warmth he brought to our stay. His kindness and professionalism were clear. From the welcome through to check-out, everything went smoothly, and we felt right at home. Highly recommended for comfort, care and great hospitality.
