Everything was good, including the rooms and service. If you need a rental room in Gokarna, Anchu Home Stay is a good choice.

We found rats in the room during our one-night booking for Saturday the 19th, and one chewed up our bag. It was a bad experience. We told the owner the next morning, and hope precautions are taken so this doesn’t happen again.

The bathrooms were poorly maintained, and there was no drinking water supplied. The sheets were stained and the blanket had holes. Nothing was cleaned. Worst stay.

For a low-budget visit to Gokarna, I’d recommend this homestay. It’s one of the best I’ve found at such a low price.

There were lizards and cockroaches sharing the bathroom. All seven of us just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The two rooms smelled, and even after paying 7000 we weren’t given toiletries. I’m never booking here again.
