Revellers Resort Gokarna

We had a lovely stay at Revellers Resort, a quiet, offbeat spot in Gokarna with beautiful views from the hilltop. The villa was very comfortable, and the private pool looking out over the hills was the best part. The place has a peaceful feel, and the food and service were good. For the price we paid, it felt completely worth it. A great choice if you want to unwind away from the crowds.

The resort’s white theme was something I personally liked, and it’s a peaceful place with clean, well-kept rooms and a nice setting to walk around. It sits in a central area near Om beach, kudle beach, half moon beach and praises beach, as well as Mahabaleshwar temple and maha ganapati temple. One of the service staff told us a shortcut to get there. Worth checking out for a calm stay.

We left feeling fed up, and the holiday was unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially to families or anyone wanting peace, cleanliness, and safety. A dog ran up to my child, barked aggressively, and nearly tried to bite, which was frightening. Several dogs roamed freely, and the plants and grounds were in poor shape. It’s far inside and hard to find. Even local auto drivers didn’t know the resort and struggled to locate it, making travel inconvenient. The rooms, built from UPVC/cardboard-type materials, didn’t feel sturdy or comfortable. Sheets and blankets didn’t look fresh, and we had to keep asking staff to clean or replace them. Wi-Fi and TV didn’t work. Payments felt like the priority over comfort. We had to pay half before check-in and the rest as soon as we arrived, while food had to be paid for before it was served. When we asked for service, staff talked about the price first. Reception staff couldn’t communicate in English, and we didn’t know their language, so even simple requests became difficult.

There’s room for improvement here. The staff, including the waiters, were hospitable, and room service was good, but the experience was mixed. Some rooms were good and others average. Avoid the cabin, which lacks even the basic necessities. Hot water in the villas worked only sometimes, and there were no TV channels. The food area was the worst part: dogs and cats sat on the tables and sofas, and with no fence or wall, it felt unsafe for children, who could fall. The property still feels unfinished. The road is an unlit, rough dirt track with poor access, and late evenings can feel scary. I hope it improves.
