We found the booking easy and hassle-free, and the staff were friendly, supportive, and ready to help. Trippr is also near several cafés and attractions. It’s close to the beach, with lovely sea views and a peaceful feel. Our A/C room was comfortable and clean, and the Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout, so staying connected was easy. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to solo travellers, friends, or families looking for a comfortable beachside spot in Gokarna.

Service is the big plus here, the caretaker is always ready to help, and the chilled beers are well stocked. Their cafe also has simple food like maggi, sandwiches, and fried rice. For backpackers, the rates are reasonable: AC dorms are 500 a night, NON AC dorms cost 200-300, and private AC rooms are 2400 for a sea-view room that works for two. If you leave your door open, insects and lizards might get in, but we’re used to being around nature, so it didn't bother us. A solid 9/10 for hippie travellers and backpackers.

If you're hoping for decent basics, look elsewhere. We paid around ₹2,500 per person for a private room, but even bathing soap seemed too much to ask. When the power went out, the Wi-Fi disappeared too, leaving us in the dark without internet. The lighting was so poor that finding the room at night felt like a challenge. Maintenance seemed to have vanished years ago, the garden was completely unmanaged, and the place felt like an old government guest house. Food cost more than nearby Sunset and Mantra, with none of the value. Staff ignored guests so thoroughly they could win a medal at it. Trippers Hostel packed overpriced food, poor upkeep, missing amenities, and bad service into one stay. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Trippr worked really well for our small group vacation. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and nearby cafés gave us places to eat. Mahabaleshwar temple is about a twenty-minute walk away. The property sits right in front of the main beach, but in a secluded stretch with fewer people, and the sunset view is lovely. Great for relaxing and taking it easy.

The manager, Aman, deserves special thanks for helping me with my journey and making sure I was safe throughout. He’s experienced and very professional, and I really appreciated the effort he puts into the hostel. The staff were kind and supportive too. It was an affordable, safe, comfortable place with everything I needed for a peaceful stay. He truly went above and beyond. Highly recommended!
