Hotel Shiva Nilay Inn

The kitchen was slow, but the food was yummy. It's a good family hotel, and the rooms were very clean. I'd definitely recommend it to others.

The staff were polite, but our group's stay for an outreach project was such a disappointment that we ended up leaving early. The hotel also seemed unable to keep up when more than 6 people needed service at once. I asked for my room to be cleaned only once every 4 days, and cleared everything from the sink so it could be cleaned properly. That still didn't happen, and neither did cleaning the toilet and shower floor. As far as I could tell, staff only emptied the bins, made the bed, and put the furniture back in order. The basic vegetarian meals were expensive. For the same amount as one of our meals, we could eat outside the hotel and get non-vegetarian food too. The first masala tea I had tasted like ordinary tea; the next cup, a few days later, was a little better. The coffee was watery and too milky, with not enough coffee. The electricity kept cutting out during both the day and night, and we had to alert the staff. On some days, the tap ran out of water too. There was no laundry price list, and the same item could have different prices. Sorry, but I wouldn't dare recommend this hotel to anyone.

The food, accommodation, and service were all outstanding. It felt like the spirit of hospitality had been renewed here.

The hotel is run by unprofessional people and needs trained staff. They didn't help with luggage either.
